Now I'm considering a Foreflight subscription to get traffic, but this free app works just fine.įor the FSX users that stumble across this: I can't get the companion app running on Windows 10, the app that sends data from FSX to FltPlan Go, but it seems to have worked for others on older OSes in the past. It makes it easier to be airspace-aware, even when the aircraft in the sim has the X-Plane GPS installed. I would suggest that all X-Plane users get this app and use it when you can. * If you have a flight plan entered, it will show that on the chart in relation to your current position. MOS NOTAMs & Remarks MAPS: Sync flight plans and interactively edit on the map File a flight plan from within FltPlan Go Moving maps. * It has a moving map to show you where you are on the chart FltPlan offers pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight tools including: Airport/FBO Information, Approach Plates / Digital Charts, Routes with Radar Overlay, Nearby Airports, Fuel Stops, Quick Info, Area Fuel Prices, Flight Schedule Calendar, Customizable A/C Performance, Stored Routes, TOLD Card, Flight Tracking, Planned ATC Routes, Email. Satellite Glob Flight Plan & al N - Moving Map avionics and aviation. * It has airport diagrams and approach procedures that are current. AmesMaps is the most remarkable advance in moving map technology developed. The app provides a wealth of resources for pilots, including flight planning tools, digital charts, moving maps, aviation weather and more. * It has all of the VFR and IFR charts like Skyvector uses. The free Go app has seen a steady stream of updates over the past few years, and 2015 is off to a good start as well. The FSX GPS is tied to the flight planner, so your previous flight plan to Duluth is still in the GPS as white lines (legs) on the moving map. My experience is with the iOS version on an old iPad 2 with WiFi * FltPlan Go is free and is on iOS and Android. Any idea what port the ForeFlight-compatible data is being sent on? Open FltPlan Go and go to External tab on left side and scroll down to the simulators section and choose X Plane 5. FltPlan Go has ways to hook into real ADS-B devices, and when you add a "custom" device in the app it asks for a device name and port number. Keith Smith wrote:Are you asking how to get PE traffic into that app? The only traffic capability we have is sending a ForeFlight-compatible traffic stream to ForeFlight.
